CLIENT: JIA YUAN F&B PTE LTD (SINGAPORE)

CLIENT’S BRIEF:

• A logo to capture the heritage of their traditional ‘bak kut teh’ (pork rib soup, a very popular hawker dish in Singapore and Malaysia) from humble beginnings of an old coffeeshop
• Requires the date of establishment to be included
• Requires logo to incorporate the shop’s name in traditional Chinese script

PROPOSED SOLUTION:

• Graphical element inspired from the tiles found in the old coffeeshop rather than using the facade as proposed by the client
• Proposed a more generic feel to the logo rather than focusing on the dish itself, since client was also extending his menu when he was developing his F&B outlet in a new shopping mall
